You will have heard about the horrifying attacks in Paris.
As you know, President Hollande has declared a state of emergency. One impact of this is that the French Government have initiated systematic border checks. However, air and rail links are operating, and airports and stations are open – but the security checks are of course causing delays.

As you know, President Hollande has declared a state of emergency. One impact of this is that the French Government have initiated systematic border checks. However, air and rail links are operating, and airports and stations are open – but the security checks are of course causing delays.
The French authorities have issued a formal statement clarifying that all foreseen activities next week should take place as planned. On the basis of this, plus reassurance from prefecture de police de Paris, the EWEA management has decided that EWEA 2015 will take place as planned. ICI The build-up of the exhibition at the Porte de Versailles site, which began yesterday, is continuing and is on schedule.
The event format might be slightly adapted, not least the social events in light of current circumstances.
The EWEA team is on site in Paris, monitoring the situation closely and doing everything to ensure the success of the event. We have a record number of pre-registered participants and are on track to make it a good good event. We are confident we can make it work together and show the strength of our industry next week in Paris, despite these horrifying circumstances.
EWEA is in contact with the relevant authorities and will provide additional information as it becomes available. »
